4 nouvelles destinations cet hiver à partir de Montréal

MONTRÉAL, le 8 nov. 2017 /CNW Telbec/ – Alors qu’Aéroports de Montréal faisait récemment état de résultats exceptionnels pour son troisième trimestre, tant sur le plan financier qu’en termes de croissance du trafic passagers, les nouveaux services aériens confirmés pour l’hiver au départ de Montréal-Trudeau s’ajouteront aux nombreuses destinations déjà proposées aux voyageurs.

Voici les faits saillants pour cette saison hivernale :

• Quatre nouvelles destinations offertes : Antigua, Antigua-et-Barbuda (Sunwing, à partir du 26 novembre), Lima, Pérou (Air Canada, à partir du 16 décembre), Santo Domingo, République Dominicaine (Air Transat, à partir du 23 décembre) et Phoenix, États-Unis (Air Canada, à partir du 22 février);
• Accessible pour la première fois, Lima devient également la première destination desservie à l’année longue en Amérique du Sud;
• La route Montréal-Lisbonne sera maintenant opérée à l’année longue par Air Transat, à raison d’un vol par semaine;
• Interjet, un nouveau transporteur à rabais offre aux voyageurs d’affaires et aux vacanciers une liaison directe vers Mexico et Cancún;
• La saison hivernale est marquée par un ajout de sièges sur un grand nombre de destination. Les plus considérables sont San Francisco (+80 %), Philadelphie (+180 %) et Lyon (+38 %). Toutes ces routes sont opérées par Air Canada, qui par ailleurs a augmenté de 10 % son nombre global de sièges;
• Soulignons également une augmentation soutenue du nombre de sièges chez plusieurs autres transporteurs, dont AéroMexico (+27 %) et WestJet (+10 %);
• Finalement, par rapport à l’hiver dernier, on observe une progression totale de 8 % du nombre de sièges.

Par ailleurs, mentionnons qu’en 2017, un grand total de 140 destinations directes auront été offertes au départ de Montréal-Trudeau, dont 87 à l’internationale, un nouveau record.

MONTRÉAL, Nov. 8, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ – Just as Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) has recently announced excellent resultsfor its third quarter, both financially and in terms of passenger traffic growth, it has confirmed several new air services offered this winter out of Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, in addition to the many destinations already available to travellers.

Here are the highlights for this winter season:

• Four new destinations: Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda (Sunwing, beginning November 26), Lima, Peru (Air Canada, starting December 16), Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (Air Transat, as of December 23), and Phoenix, Arizona, U.S. (Air Canada, beginning February 22);
• Accessible for the first time, Lima also becomes the first South American destination served year-round from Montréal–Trudeau;
• The Montréal–Lisbon city-pair will now be offered year-round by Air Transat, with one flight weekly;
• Interjet, a new low-cost carrier, offers business and holiday travellers direct flights to Mexico City and Cancún;
• The winter season will also be marked by the addition of seats to many destinations, with the majority to San Francisco (+80%), Philadelphia (+180%) and Lyon (+38%). All these routes are served by Air Canada, which has increased its overall seating capacity by 10%;
• Several other carriers have also significantly increased seating capacity, including AeroMexico (+27%) and WestJet (+10 %);
• Finally, the total number of seats out of Montréal–Trudeau is up 8% this winter over last.

For all of 2017, travellers had a choice of a grand total of 140 destinations, 87 of them international, served by direct flight out of Montréal–Trudeau, a new record.
